Aims and Scope of JATRS

We are happy to announce that the Journal of the Air Transport Research Society (JATRS) has moved to Elsevier and that the first two issues are now available for download from their website! With the generous support from the publisher, we provide the community with an open access outlet covering all aspects of air transport research, across a wide range of domains (including economics, engineering, law, management, operations, and planning) and sectors (airlines, airports, aircraft, and air traffic management). The Open Access submission fee has kindly been waived by Elsevier for the first two years. Through our streamlined editorial flow and committed editorial board, we offer a constructive, efficient peer review system. We aim to keep turn-around times for each manuscript below four weeks, enabling the swift dissemination of air transportation research.

Note that the journal editorial board will select the best paper from all submissions in a year and the winning authors will get a free registration at the 27th ATRS World Conference in Lisbon, July 1-4, 2024, including a complementary gala dinner! Looking forward to receiving your submissions.
